If you're wanting formal training the would recommend CNS-224 Implement Citrix ADC 13.x with Traffic Management, which is available either as On-Demand or Instructor-Led and covers everything from policy overview to advanced expressions etc.
Alternatively you could review the Configuring advanced policy expression: getting started documents ref: https://docs.netscaler.com/en-us/citrix-adc/current-release/appexpert/policies-and-expressions/adv-policy-expressions-getting-started.html

Hi, I would also recommend reviewing the VPX compatibility matrix to ensure that the underlying infrastructure is also supported ref: https://docs.netscaler.com/en-us/citrix-adc/current-release/deploying-vpx/supported-hypervisors-features-limitations.html.

Hi, if you can expand on the question as if it's related to Gateway portal then the recommendations are to use the portal theme options within the GUI ref: https://docs.netscaler.com/en-us/citrix-gateway/current-release/gateway-portal-customization/admin-ui-portal-customizations.html.

Is there a specific feature you need to check that's available on Advanced as Premium will include all features?

Hi, if this is certificate related then have you tried going into the Infrastructure > SSL Dashboard > SSL Certificates-Used page as this will detail all the SSL certificates and where used.
If you're wanting to update the SSL certificate then this can also be completed within the Infrastructure > SSL Dashboard > SSL Certificates - Expiring within one week and 30 days option, although this would need to be repeated for each NetScaler pair.

To add to this, using pattern set functionality will result in a less resource-intensive expressions matching process 😉

I'd also suggest reviewing the following article related to troubleshooting https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX209148/understanding-and-configuring-epa-verbose-logging-on-citrix-gateway as this will allow you to perform your own testing whilst reviewing the client EPA logs.

Depending on the information required, it may be possible to use ADM and report in the status change with subsequent notification (ADM Event / Rules) relating to the corresponding ADC / vserver.
The screenshot below from ADM details the event created when the status changes on a vserver (this was a Gateway).

One item to note is that ICA Only mode set on the Gateway virtual server, as this can be one of two modes.
- ICA Only - When set to ON, it implies Basic mode where the user can log on using either Citrix Receiver or a browser and get access to the published apps etc.
- ICA Only - When set to OFF, it implies Smart Access mode where the user can log on using either Citrix Receiver or a browser or a Citrix Gateway Plug-in (aka VPN or Clientless Access).
Depending on which option is required, you may want to check how many concurrent users you're going to have as option 1 is unlimited (dependant on appliance capabilities) whereby option 2 has a license count depending on edition (1,000 for Advanced Edition or Unlimited for Premium, again dependant on appliance capabilities).
