I found the problem! It was a simple setting in the Storefront configuration that hid the Desktops

Go to  Stores > MyStore > Manage Receiver for Web Sites > Configure > Client Interface Settings: the dropdown list "Application and Desktops view on Receiver for Web" was set to show Applications only. After changing it to show both views, I was able to find and launch my Desktop.

Hope this can help someone else in future!

I have published an MCS desktop (static) and it does not show up even after 20 hours. The settings are as shown in your file. I just created this yesterday.

Also, I was asked whether there will be an outage when we do this changes. I said it should not. Any suggestions?

Both articles have been updated. ?

Example to get MaxClients from httpd.conf and add it to rc.netscaler:

    echo "nsapimgr_wr.sh -ys maxclientForHttpdInternalService=$(awk '/^MaxClients/{print $2}' /etc/httpd.conf)" >> /nsconfig/rc.netscaler

So, this command would do both? I saw that my httpd.conf file had value 30 in it. Is this the default? So what does maxclient do here? Just need some info as I am trying to understand.

Thanks Carl. Where do you get the time to answer all these questions as well as do your work. Your great!  So, what does this really do in case of denial of service attacks. I would like to know what this does and how it protects the ADC.

  7. Are there any issues in changing this settings and should we reboot the NS after the change? Has anyone seen any issues already?

    Remediation configuration

    1.    Log on to the appliance via SSH. Enter “shell” and then press ENTER to open the Shell prompt.

    2.     At the Shell prompt, run the following command.

    # nsapimgr_wr.sh -ys maxclientForHttpdInternalService=<val>

The value used in remediation must match the value configured for “MaxClients” in the httpd.conf file.

For example, nsapimgr_wr.sh -ys maxclientForHttpdInternalService=30 if “MaxClients” in the httpd.conf is 30.

    3.     To persist the command across reboot of the appliance, the command must be added to the rc.netscaler startup file.

    touch /nsconfig/rc.netscaler  chmod a+x /nsconfig/rc.netscaler  echo "nsapimgr_wr.sh -ys maxclientForHttpdInternalService=30" >> /nsconfig/rc.netscaler

  8. We have a specific user whose Interactive Session is longer than expected. Average logons are around 33 seconds whereas his is around 90 seconds. Could it be a profile issue which is huge? I went through the troubleshooting documents in Citrix and saw this. Nothing else was done other than it is a thin client. All other users are also using thin client.

    Examine unusual differences, including:

    Missing (current) logon bars

Major discrepancy between the current duration and this user’s average duration. Causes could include:

    A new application was installed.

    An operating system update occurred.

    Configuration changes were made.

Profile size of the user is high. In this case, the Profile Load will be high

The Surface is running Windows, any compatibility concerns would be with the OS, not the device.  In other words, yes it's compatible.  I'm not sure what you mean by ' Internet Explorer doesn't open the Window'.

    • When you connect to the Citrix environment are you presented with Applications that you are entitled to launch?
    • Do you get any error messages?

Citrix renamed Receiver to Workspace about a year ago, so if you've installed an old version of Receiver, that could potentially be the problem.

I have an issue with Microsoft Surface. The user logs into a desktop and also logs into Surface at the same time. The user being a Executive is using Surface as his primary but also logs into Desktop computer at work. The drive mapping for his desktop shows as Z drive which is the default that Citrix files assigns. But, for the Surface he gets an S drive. Can he have the same drive letter assigned to both the desktops and surface?

Next, he recently started getting pop-ups to login to the surface even though initially he was able to login without any issues. I am not sure what changed or what wrong he is doing, but he says he is being asked to login now and does not autologin automatically. I have set it up in GPO and everything works fine for a regular desktop. So, has anyone come across something like this before? I already posted this question here, but no one has responded but thought after seeing this post, I would ask you or someone else.

    Thanks in advance

  10. Before we could enroll we are getting this message. The user is trying to enroll her iphone

    Step 1 - UPN name

    Step 2 - Username & Password

Gets a message Username or Password Incorrect.

I deleted the device from the endpoint management before we tried the above steps. Deleted the Device Management from her phone. But, still this issue is coming up.

Thanks in advance for your response.

  11. User is trying to install SecureHub for Android Device (Android Enterprise) and it follows the steps till he goes to enter the userid and password then it stars spinning and then does not go into SecureHub app instead it deletes the work profile and disables it. So, you go ahead and enable work profile and then start the process over entering your UPN name, then your userid and password and its repeats the same.

  12. During Enrollment of Android Enterprise Device the user is being asked to enter PIN and a Device PIN. I am not sure what is the difference between the first PIN and the second Device PIN. When the user enters the DEVICE PIN it does not accept it and it goes into timing mode for few seconds and then asks him to re-enter the PIN again. So, he enters the PIN and then again back to the same.

I did a Selective Wipe and still the same.

I deleted it completely, made him re-install SecureHub and still the same. He gets stuck at this point and cannot proceed.

    Thanks

    John

  13. We have been having problems lately and not sure whether it is due to the network or whether it is due to Citrix side that when you logon to Citrix cloud, the icons are missing.

I did run a report in Citrix Director for Connection failures and it does not show much info other than the connection failures when launched via our datacenter. Most of the users are home users and are not in office and are having problems. Could this be a network issue or something within the Citrix cloud?

  14. We have received notification from Citrix stating that SHA1withRSA is being deprecated. I have only the *.crt and *.pem file but I do not have a *.csr file. How can I find from the *.crt or *.pem file what kind of Alogorithm is being used? Can you run a report on Endpoint Management to find this?

We want to remind customers that deprecation for the SHA1withRSA signature algorithm for Certificate-based authentication was announced in May 2020.

On May 31, 2021, the SHA1withRSA signature algorithm will be removed from the Credential Providers' available signature algorithm options: Certificate Signing Request menu within the administrative console. Any Citrix Endpoint Management customers using SHA1withRSA as their preferred signature algorithm must migrate to SHA256withRSA or higher by May 31, 2021. For more information, see Credential Providers.

Please note: The removal of the SHA1withRSA Signature algorithm will only affect cloud customers on May 31, 2021. The removal for on-premises customers will occur as part of a future release targeted for later this year.

    Thank you,

    Citrix Endpoint Management team

  15. One of our Cloud Connector was hung. We have 3 on primary and 3 in DR site. Should it not failover to the other 2 Cloud Connectors and allow users to connect

    1. Is this the way it should failover or should it failover to the other cloud connector within the primary?

    2. None of the published desktops were visible and could see only an empty screen.

    3. Also see the following error message about the LocalDB

LocalDB parent instance version is invalid: MSSQL14E.LOCALDB

Windows API call RegOpenKeyExW returned error code: 2. Windows system error messgae is The system cannot find the file specified.

  16. We are facing issues with some devices where at the first time we will have to enter username@domain.local and password during the enrollment process and then it takes you back to Playstore and disables the Work profile. Then subsequent time in Username field we have to enter just the username and the password and it enrolls.

Some devices we do not have to enter the domain.local and I have my own Android device (Samsung Galaxy S9) where I just enter the UPN name, then the Username and Password. I do not enter username@domain.local and mine works fine and enrolls the device and then takes me to appstore to install other apps. But, some devices we are facing this issue. What could be the reason?

Is it something to do with the user account or with the domain itself? I also see that sometimes it creates the WORK folder and puts all the apps inside it and sometimes it throws all the apps all over the phone, does not create a WORK folder. This is one more issue I am noticing while enrolling the devices.

    Thanks in advance

  17. Hi,

We currently have Netscaler ADC 13.0 Build 61.48 nc

I am trying to apply the security vulnerability firmware that was released on Jan 23. Is there a newer version of the patch released or is that the final one? I see another one was release on Feb 22nd, 2021

Citrix ADC Release (Feature Phase) 13.0 Build 76.29

    Feb 22, 2021| NEW

Looks like the January 23rd release was 13.0-47.24, should I update this first and then apply the firmware?

  18. We are trying to setup Android Enterprise on Android Phones (Samsung Galaxy) and Pixel phones. When we setup through Secure Hub with the following steps

    1.    Launch SecureHub

    2.    Enter mobile.bitco.com at the UPN, Email screen

    3.    In the next screen enter your user ID and Password

    4.    You will be prompted with an Enroll message. Click on Enroll. (Note: If this message does not come up then you will not be successful in enrolling your device)

    5.    You will prompt you with this message “Setup a work profile” click on Agree.

    6.    In the next step it will say “Creating Work Profile”

The user gets to step #6 , then it boots the user out.  And then he gets the message on phone that says, Work profile no longer available on this device.

Another user gets a message your work profile is deleted and kicks the user out from SecureHub

We have seen this on Samsung Galaxy 8 and above phones.

What could be going wrong? We are on Citrix Cloud and our version is current with the Citrix version of Endpoint on the cloud.

    Thanks in advance.

  19. We have got a group that we need to add users to Android Enterprise for users who are in the legacy DA to Android Ent. But other than this what can we do in order to ensure that when we migrate users from On Prem to O365 that they are migrated smoothly and can access their emails through Securemail without any issues, what else can be done?

    1. Do we have to re-register the users after they have been migrated? Is there any document that you can be provided?

    2. Will they get any message that they have been moved to O365 email?

Appreciate your response. Thank you ahead of time.

I can confirm this behavior, but only for the BYOD (work profile) enrollment. The registration for fully managed devices works as expected.

I will create an support case for this.

    Do you find any workaround?

    Hi

Thanks. No, I have not been able to find a workaround and the user is frustrated she is not able to set it up. I have opened a case with Citrix and waiting for them to call back as I am typing this.

If you have anything that you found out it would be great. The Android phone is a Samsung SM-G781V

    Thanks

  21. I am moving user to Android Enterprise as she is trying to go through the setup process, she is not able to reset her PIN. The user forgot the PIN, so she tries it several times to reset it again, but it goes in a loop and she is not able to enter her new PIN. What can I do to fix this issue?

    Thanks

    John

  22. User is trying to setup Android Enterprise. The number of attempts for forgotten PIN is only 15 but her phone is showing like 29 attempts to reset it. But as she is trying couple of attempts to reach the 29 attempts, inbetween it asks her to enter the password. Then again it waits for 30 seconds and then moves forward with the PIN attempt. Is there something I am not understanding why this user is having such issues or am I doing something wrong or need to setup something under the policies to ensure that user can setup the Android Enterprise without any issues.

Looks like what I have seen is that the first time when they launch SecureHub enter the FQDN and then enter their userid and password, it keeps spinning and goes on for 30 minutes or 1 hour. Unless you move back to the settings and then again launch SecureHub and enter the FQDN again and then it will prompt with ENROLL message. There is something not right and Citrix may have to explain why this is happening. We are on the cloud and it is not OnPrem anymore.

    Thanks again in advance
