[Microsoft 365 Apps activation issues in publish Apps mode]

I was able to sort this by making the VDA server a published desktop (HSD). The same server when was hosting a published app, when enabled with HSD, resolved the issue

If you have specified the machines as well as the OU for example, then you can end up with this problem

 

If you haven't done that, and have only specified an OU for example, then we might need to check the DB (simple enough)

This is correct. Ensure that you dont put any servers/desktop objects but point it to the OU
