Reduce VDA heartbeat interval with DAAS and Cloud Controllers

Citrix article CTX314102 describes how to reduce the amount of time it takes for a VDA to failover to a different delivery controller in the event of an outage by setting the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\DesktopServer\HeartbeatPeriodMs on a delivery controller.

Whilst performing failover testing in a Citrix DAAS environment (control plane fully hosted by DAAS, not using on-premise Storefront) we found that the VDAs can take up to 5 minutes to detect that the Cloud Connector they had registered to had gone offline, before re-registering to an alternative Cloud Connector.

We would like to decrease the amount of time taken to re-register in the event of a Cloud Connector outage or reboot. Setting the above mentioned registry key on the Cloud Connectors had no effect on VDA failover time.

Is there another method of decreasing the VDA heartbeat interval when using Citrix DAAS with Cloud Connectors?
