When I drill down from the dashboard into active sessions and use the machine link there, I'll end up with this in the GUI .. the linked kb-article is misleading here and not the solution:
And these ID6 events..
Protokollname: Application
Quelle: Citrix Director Service
Ereignis-ID: 6
Aufgabenkategorie: Keine
Ebene: Warnung
Schlüsselwörter: Klassisch
Benutzer: Nicht zutreffend
Computer: <the StoreFront server0>
Beschreibung: Ein unerwarteter Fehler ist aufgetreten.
Benutzer: '<the Citrix Admin Account>'
Konsolenvorgang: 'Auf VDA-Maschine aktivierte Features'
Weitere Informationen: 'Empfangener Parameter ist Null oder leer siteId. '
But if I go through the filters and lookup the machines there, these links are working just fine:
Turns out, it's just the missing "&siteid in the URLs: [https://]director/Director/helpDesk/machine/details?locale=de_DE&machineId=<machineid>&originalFrom=%2Ffilters%2Fmachines%2Fserver-os&machineName=<machine>&siteid=<id>
Found out when I maximized the browser window and saw the shorter URLs when the errors appeared. Thought I share to spare you the "<maximizes browser> ... oh my god come on! That's it!?". Probably gonna be fixed in the next update. Right?
