I was under the belief that all communcation between the delivery controller and the System Center Virtual Machine Manager was completed using Powershell via the SCVMM powershell commandlets or via Powershell remoting. However, whenever I try to create a new Host connection, update images and the like - The delivery controller will try to access the file shares of the Hyper-V hosts by SMB.
Are there any configuration settings I can set to have it prefer Powershell remoting or alternative ways of querying storage, or are we required to allow SMB communication between the Hyper-V Hosts and the Delivery Controller?
