Carlos Montañés Sánchez Posted October 11 Posted October 11 Hi everyone, For security reasons we need to install an antivirus on Netscaler ADC. We currently have a VPX 200 in version 13 although we are going to upgrade to 14.1. In our company we have Crowdstrike antivirus, if possible we would like to install that one. Can you please tell us if it is possible to install Crowdstrike or if it has any incompatibility? If not, what alternative would we have?.
Nicola Campaci Posted October 14 Posted October 14 Hi, Netscaler is a firmware that relies on a customized FreeBSD base. It is a hardened system, which must not be tampered with in any way, as this would compromise its functionality. It is not allowed to install software on the FreeBSD substrate or treat it like a regular Linux/FreeBSD operating system. Moreover, I can't even imagine a security reason for needing to install an antivirus. It's like asking to install an antivirus on your firewall or switches just because they have an engine based on Linux. 😉
