Hello,

Installation of workspace 24.5.10.29 is failing for me because of MTOP component installation failure. Errors from MTOP:

MSI (s) (28:8C) [07:56:57:593]: Doing action: CtxError_DetectPreRequisite
MSI (s) (28:8C) [07:56:57:593]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: ActionText 
Action ended 7:56:57: MigrateFeatureStates. Return value 1.
Action start 7:56:57: CtxError_DetectPreRequisite.
MSI (s) (28:8C) [07:56:57:594]: Product: MTOP Client -- Your MTOP Client installation cannot continue. The installer detects that prerequisites havent met. Please install Citrix Workspace App or contact your administrator. 

MSI (s) (28:8C) [07:56:57:638]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: MTOP Client. Product Version: 24.5.10.20. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Citrix Systems, Inc.. Installation success or error status: 1603.

 

I've already tried:

- clean install by doing cleanup and still fails with the same,

- upgrade from lower version with autoupdate - fails with the same,

- install without Teams VDI plugin but fails with the same.

 

Lower version 24.2.1000.1016 works perfectly fine however need to resolve above issues with the newer one due to compliance.

Please verify and let me know how can I fix it.

maybe this is a .NET Framework Problem. I see similar problems and found out on affected devices that there was different x86 and x64 version .NET Framework versions and not all components are installed correctly.

After cleanup .NET Framework manually and install the right components directly from Microsoft (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0 / https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0). Then the CWA was also installed correctly.
