To add more background to this issue, this was faced by only a subset of users who were using Windows 11 OS in their endpoint devices, Other users were not facing this issue with Windows 10 OS in their endpoint devices with MS Teams 2.x in VDI.

we worked with support and they gave us a fix which worked. A registry key need to be added in the User's endpoint device (Windows 11 device) to fix Mic issue and make use of legacy ADM instead of quad channel microphones

Location: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Citrix\HDXMediaStream
Key: DisableADM2
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

issue is well documented here...Configure | Citrix Workspace app 2203.1 LTSR for Windows

  • You can disable the audio device module 2 (ADM2) so that the legacy Audio Device Module (ADM) is used for quad-channel microphones. Disabling ADM2 helps in resolving issues related to microphones in a call.

To disable ADM2, navigate to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Citrix\HDXMediaStream and create a key named DisableADM2 (REG_DWORD) and set the value to 1.
