Is HDX Insight gone in Director 2402?

Hi all,

 

I've updated two customer environments < 2402 to 2402 and we noticed the previous used HDX Insight Director Integration (for years) is now gone. Any informations where the statistics from NetScaler Console HDX Insight are now in Director?

There's this new view, but these statistics and measurements are from "ctxsession -v" and other measure-points, but I'm missing the data from HDX Insight. Docs isn't updated for years Configure network analysis | Director (citrix.com) 

 

Can anyone confirm that there's a working HDX Insight integration with Director >= 2402?

Yes, it is still available.  However you have to turn L7 latency off on the NetScaler insights as they interfere with the new L7 detection tools that you see above.

Thanks, you're having a screenshot of a working site? In two setups the Networking Tab is gone after update to Director 2402 or higher and I'm not able to find the data of HDX Insight inside Director, anymore.

Its now under Trends-->Networks and under view details on a user selected session.

We currently run a fresh Installation of Netscaler Console 14.1.29.63 and Citrix Director 2402 CU1. We saw the Trends --> Networks Tab, but there was no HDX Insights data shown after the configuration.

1. Created a Netscaler Console Access Policy (View only), Role, Group and User

2. Configured both Citrix Directors

 

Netscaler Console Content-Security-Policy denied to display the HDX Insight Data in Citrix Director. I thought Citrix Director proxies the connection to Netscaler Console, but the Client does Requests to Netscaler Console and this got blocked by CSP (https://NetscaerConsoleFQDN/admin_ui/mas/ent/html/dd.html?sessionid=%23%?page=Trends&locale=de-DE&pluginId=4&path=/trends/Network&ajax=gwt).

 

 

I found a file called 'flash/mpsconfig/response_header_settings.conf' on Netscaler Console. This file is responsible for displaying the HDX Insights data in Citrix Director. 

1. Customize response_header_settings.conf:

Before:

CSP_FRAME_ANCESTORS_MAS_ONPREM='None'

 

Later:

CSP_FRAME_ANCESTORS_MAS_ONPREM=https://CitrixDirectorFQDN

 

2. Restart services Secondary/Primary:

masd stop
masd start

 

After that we got HDX Insight data in Citrix Director. I currently didn´t find a way to configure it via GUI. I didn´t found a documentation ether.

Thanks for these insights, Jens! In my case the "Netzwerk / Network" Tab in Director is missing, completely. But I'm sure your investigation will help others here! Citrix now is doing some Trace / HAR checking what could cause that. Will keep this thread updated.

Shame on me... The customer switched from CVAD premium to CVAD advanced during the last maintenance renewal and I didn't noticed that. The Networking tab is missing because it's a premium feature.
