Posted September 12, 2024Sep 12 Hi Comunity I an seeking assistance with my Container Profiles. I would like to replace our File-Based UPM with containers to address OneDrive Compatibility. If we our user logs in we get 2 user directories under users as in screenshot below. All the VHDXs does actually mount. Citrix Support reported this as an issue. Anyone that can confirm this? We are on 2402 and the VDIs are Win 11. Thanks in advance
September 13, 2024Sep 13 Solution Can you clarify what upm policy settings you are changing Calude? Also I do not understand clearly what the problem is. I do understand that you have win11 VDIs and you want to transition from file based UPM to container based. This will be a complete overhaul of your UPM policies. One option, if OneDrive is your major concern, is to just enable the OneDrive container. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/profile-management/current-release/configure/enable-the-onedrive-container.html

I Moved back to the previous UPM Config and just added OneDrive and seems most of our issues are addressed.
December 11, 2024Dec 11 "UPM_Local" Folder contains all Files and Folders, which are excluded from Profile Management. We have tested with OneDrive and Outlook Container --> Citrix told us this containers are old and should not be used anymore. I wonder why I have the option to configure this with policies.. 🤔 With OneDrive Container we also had a bug: The user did not have the rights to delete any directories inside their OneDrive. We just actived the profile Container, and this is working so far.
