Aaron Murray1709160777 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I am copying a VM to a new Pool. I started copying and the notifications showed the progress; however, I was disconnected from the network. On reconnecting, the notification shows an error, but the VM still has a symbol with two small red arrows pointing left and right. Does this mean that it is still copying? VM Copy is now greyed out, so I can't start again. Should I leave it? Restart the toolstack? I am running XenCenter remotely. If it is copying to my local PC then back to the new Pool, then that would be rather inefficient... Cheers.
0 Aaron Murray1709160777 Posted September 7 Author Posted September 7 Well, I don't know the answer to my question above, but it has resumed copying after I closed and re-opened XenCenter. Based on my local ethernet usage, I'd guess it is copying server-side and not through XenCenter.
0 Aaron Murray1709160777 Posted September 7 Author Posted September 7 Checked again and it seems to have become confused. Event notifications said it had completed copying or migrating the VM from Source Pool to Source Pool. Huh? Closed and re-opened XenCenter and that event no longer shows. The icon on the VM has reverted to the symbol for Halted. But there is no new VM in the Destination pool. How can I tell if it's still processing? Expected to show up eventually?
0 Boby Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Can you run xe task-list on the pool master and see if it shows a Copy operation ? What version of XenServer and update level is this ?
