Netscaler ADC VPX - NLB Session drops

Recommended Posts

Hi, i hope someone could help here.  We have just implemented a NetScaler VPX for NLB of 2 webservers that are used for API calls within our business.

Original setup was a single web server (no NetScaler).  The NetScaler is configured with the IP address of the original web server.

We have a job that runs from a server within the same subnet on the first of the month, prior to the NetScaler this worked fine, however since the NetScaler and 2 new web servers have been deployed we are getting the job failing with the following:-

Exception running invoice process!
System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. (An error occurred while sending the request.) ---> System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The job runs 3 steps and waits for an acknowledgement back from the server that the step has been completed successfully before starting the next step.

I was wondering as the job isn't running on the NetScaler but passing the request to one of the NLB servers it isn't getting the response back from the server as it would be sending back to the NetScaler.  Is there a way to pass this back to the client making the request and what could be causing the connection be forcibly closed?
