Touchpad issue with new Magic Keyboard on the 2024 iPad Pro M4

The touchpad doesn’t work on the new Magic Keyboard on the 2024 iPad Pro M4 in normal full screen mode.
It vaguely works sometimes in split screen or Stage Manager, but intermittently.
Hopefully this will be fixed soon as almost useless with no touchpad/mouse control.

External bluetooth mice do work, but having that defeats the reason for having the Magic Keyboard.

Hey Ladies, I got trigged also of this, but I found out a workaround after 5 mins of testing.

If you got an active Citrix session, swipe up, hold the Citrix app button, select properties, go backward arrow and tap back into the session, then the trackpad works perfect even with the 120 hz feeling of the cursor (which is not the case for any BT mouse I tested yet).

Thank me later bois and have fun!!!! :D

Hii 🥰

If you want to address the touchpad issue on your Magic Keyboard with the 2024 iPad Pro M4, try these steps:

  • Restart both your iPad and Magic Keyboard.
  • Ensure all software is up to date.
  • Toggle off/on the "AssistiveTouch" option in Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch.
  • If the issue persists, reset all settings on your iPad.
  • Contact Apple Support if needed.

Using an external Bluetooth mouse can be a temporary workaround until a fix is released.
