Mouse cursor changing on personal desktop during logon

We are working on a Windows application that analyses a given Citrix resource of a specified user. For the HDX related parts of the analyses, we use the AxIcaClient. This gives us certain information like when the logon has started or when the session has disconnected. It also allows us to show a window in our application with the current view of the specified Citrix resource.

When our simulation enters the logon step, then we notice our cursor changing to a loading icon whenever the cursor is within our application. This happens based on what is happening in the window view of the Citrix resource that is being analysed. We wish to get rid of this loading cursor when hovering the application and instead keep the icon that the user was using before. How can we make sure we don't get the loading cursor anymore during the logon step?
