VDA registration problem

Hi

VDA 22.03 U2, w2k19. I'm trying to register but I get such error:

2023-04-24 20:25:21,613: 6 ERROR – Get VDA Functional Level FAILED: Insufficient administrative privilege
2023-04-24 20:25:21,615: 6 ERROR – Exception details : Insufficient administrative privilege
2023-04-24 20:25:21,616: 6 INFO  – [UI Message] Exception details : Insufficient administrative privilege.
2023-04-24 20:25:21,617: 6 INFO  – <<<< Step 8: VDA Registration Status End. Test Error. >>>>

FW looks ok (80 and 443 opened in both directions). Event 1023 -> The registration was refused due to 'AgentNotContactable'.

Hi,

Based on the provided error message, it seems like the VDA registration process is failing due to insufficient administrative privileges. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

 

Ensure that you are logged in with administrative privileges on the machine where you're attempting to register the VDA.

 

Check that the Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent is running under the local system account. You can do this by opening the Services snap-in, locating the Citrix Desktop Service, and verifying the Log On As setting.

 

Try running the registration process again with elevated privileges. Right-click on the registration script or executable and select "Run as administrator" from the context menu.

 

Verify that the firewall is not blocking the registration process. Ensure that the ports required for VDA registration (TCP ports 80 and 443) are open in both directions on any firewalls between the VDA and the Delivery Controller.

 

Check that the time and time zone are correct on both the VDA and the Delivery Controller. A time difference of more than five minutes can cause issues with VDA registration.

 

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to review the event logs and examine any additional error messages or warnings related to the VDA registration process.
