Upgraded two Hosts to 8.2.1 but need to revert back to 8.1.0

Matt Fogle

Question

Hello

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I recently updated two hosts in an unused pool to 8.2.1 while we have a main pool running 8.1.0 with active VMs.

I'm still somewhat new to Xenserver and Linux as well as being new to this position. We're wanting to revert Pool2 (8.2.1) back to 8.1.0 to basically be a blank pool as a back for pool 1 with the active VMs.

I've tried researching how to do it on my own but I wasn't able to find a clear instruction on how to do it.

When I pulled the Kernel versions from the master on both pools I get the following:

(Pool1 Master): Linux xenserv-R710-13 4.19.0+1 #1 SMP Thu Feb 13 17:34:28 CET 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
(Pool2 Master): Linux xenserv-R710-15 4.19.0+1 #1 SMP Mon Dec 19 15:53:02 CET 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

However when i use the "ls" command on Pool2 Master I see the following output:

image.thumb.png.798711a6af556ba07d9eda51a53cd910.png

Indicating that 8.1.0 is still there.

Is there I can access that .repo and reinstall 8.1.0 from that?

Sorry if this is a noob question, we're a small org and im still learning this stuff.
