Workspace Client hangs at login

We've recently seen a few Windows 10 and 11 end-user devices fail at fully connecting with assigned virtual desktops.  Authentication is successful.  Storefront presents assigned desktops, but when the user selects one the desktop viewer just shows "Connecting..." and eventually times out.  We have seen this on affected machines with versions 22.3.3000.3116 as well as the latest, also with  If a machine is affected by this, any user attempting will not be able to complete a connection.  Uninstall and reinstall with /forceinstall has not resolved the issue. The same Desktop users can connect and use their virtual desktops without issue on other endpoints.

Are users able to see the internal and external beacons when on the VPN tunnel?  Which address is in the ICA file when on the VPN while off the VPN.


The newer clients try to route traffic over the best location, and that negotiation time can increase the longer login times over VPN vs over the Internet.


Is this a storefront deployment, or Citrix Cloud?
