Migrate from cluster to HA

Recommended Posts

I don't think you can "in place" as enabling a cluster requires a complete reboot and a config wipe of the NetScaler to begin a cluster and to change to support cluster operations.

Disabling clustering also wipes the cluster.

I think you'll have to separate a node and migrate resources from one to the other.

This is migrating HA to cluster, but the end result is being creating a cluster wipes the conf (clear ns config -extended), you have to batch the config and apply after converting to a cluster.

https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-adc/current-release/clustering/cluster-usage-scenarios/cluster-migrate-from-ha.html

If you want to break the cluster, it also wipes the config. So unless you migrate in parallel from one cluster to a separate ha pair, you would also need to batch the config.

Basically, the process is not straightforward and not changeable in place without re-applying settings, as far as I know.
