Unable to launch your application....Cannot open the Citrix workspace

Question

Hello,

 

From time to time I run into users who can't launch apps and receive "Receive unable to launch apps....Cannot open the Citrix workspace". I've been trying to figure this out for over a week, with no success as I can't find anything related to this error on the web. I'll add that the user who fails to open consistently, others can open with no problems at all. 

 

-I've tried deleting profiles

-Checking GPOS

-event viewer doesn't shed much light besides the user signed in successfully, no errors there.

-Tried using Citrix light and no success opening the app for the user. 

-Checking updates on the machine but no luck.

 

Environment 

The app is in a Citrix 1912 cu5 farm

User is utilizing workspace 1912.300.6 (Dont think this is the issue because I can log in on her machine and launch the app.)

FSLogix for profiles

The is person is gaining access via cag as they work remotely FT.

 

Has anyone come across this before?

This issue was resolved by closing out processes on the local computer.

Hi Shawn,

 

I am also experiencing this issue and have tried numerous things to solve it, like trying old versions of the Workspace app, un- and re-installing, disabling the firewall. I did not manage to resolve this issue.

The odd thing is that I have been able to use Citrix Workspace without any issues for 3 years on the same PC.

Could you specify what you mean by "closing out processes" so I can experiment with this solution?

 

Any other thoughts are also welcome. Thanks in advance!
