Unable to create storage repository - SR_BACKEND_FAILURE_90

Ian Slater

Question

I'm unable to create a new storage repository on the server and this is the error code I get for it - SR_BACKEND_FAILURE_90.   Error parameters: The request is missing the device parameter.

I've noticed that every time I add a new drive to the server, when I check on XenCenter it takes the device name /dev/sda. Surely the most recently added drive would take the next available device name instead of taking sda?

I believe this is the cause of the issue but not sure how to resolve it.  Can an SR be created from the UUID of the drives? Or does you purely need to be the device name?

Many thanks
