VOLMGR Errors in Event logs

Baumgartner AG

Question

Hey folks

I had some trouble today updating my Server 2016 vDisk with windows updates. It did all kinds of strange stuff, so I decided to delete this Disk and merge a new one from the previous version. I am not sure yet if this version works fine now; it's still downloading updates at this moment.

I recognized that there were VOLMGR errors after booting the vDisk in private mode. I have never seen those, but I have also never looked for them, so I am not sure if they were there all the time. I also see some NTFS errors, but those will be gone when I have performed a CHKDSK /r.

Event ID: 45

System could not load the driver for the memory dump.

Event ID: 46

Initialization of memory dump failed.

Can those be ignored or should I do somthing about it?

Thanks in advance

Cedy
