How to avoid duplicates stores being created in Workspace app after upgrade

Gwyn Williams1709162899

Question

I have Citrix Workspace 2108 installed on all our machines (regular Windows desktop machines, not VDAs). It was silently deployed using this command:

"CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe" /silent /forceinstall /includeSSON /AutoUpdateCheck=disabled EnableCEIP=False ENABLE_SSON=Yes STORE0="StoreName;https://server.domain/Citrix/Store/discovery;On;"

The above command is the only place that I define the store details - I've never set them in Group Policy nor in the Delivery Group settings.

I now want to upgrade all the machines to the latest Workspace app. I try to install 2207 using the exact same command as above, but after completion, the store appears twice for each Workspace app. How do I install it to avoid this happening?

I check the registry, and there is only one STORE0 value. Also, the store has always had the same name and URL

If I do it as a batch file that uninstalls the app first ("CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe" /silent /uninstall) and then does the install command above, then it works, there's only one store there. But this just seems a cumbersome way to do it. And the user is then without access to the Citrix farm for twice as long.

Any advice would be appreciated.
