Add Machine to Machine Catalog through REST APIs

Antonio Vargas

Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to use Citrix APIs to add an specified machine to an specific Machine Catalog. As far as I understand, this API is executes an async operation. The guide for the API that I'm following is this one: https://developer.cloud.com/citrixworkspace/citrix-daas/citrix-daas-rest-apis/apis/MachineCatalogs-APIs/MachineCatalogs_AddMachineCatalogMachine

So when I use my code that is as it follows:

I receive the following response:

And the operation finally never executes. When I check the Machine Catalog I selected, the MC remains empty.

My questions here would be:

- Is the operation really trying to execute? Because as in the Status stablish it should be given that its value is 'In Progress'

- Is there an error that I'm missing? Given that the ErrorCode value is Unknown I'm guessing that there could be an error in the request.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Antonio,

Below is how we trigger VM creation:

$vdi = Invoke-WebRequest "https://api-us.cloud.com/cvad/manage/MachineCatalogs/$mc/Machines?async=true" -Method Post -Headers $headers -ContentType "application/json" -Body ($cacc | ConvertTo-Json)

JFYI, we are using AzureAD joined VDI's.
