There was a problem with the https certificate used by authentication service

Using workspace app for linux 2205 to connect to a load balanced storefront running virtual apps and desktops 7 1912 ltsr.  When the store is configured to authenticate using username and password everything works just fine. When we enable smartcard authentication I get the error message in the title. I used openssl to verify the entire certificate chain on the storefront and the CA as well as the intermediate certificates are added to /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts and intcerts. Attaching the log file from the workspace app and a screenshot of the error message.
