VDI not available

Peter Vroegop

A couple of days ago the back-up of our xenserver environment stopped because it was nog possible to create a snapshot of the VM's
I discovered the issue was actuel for multiply VM's.

The VM's did work probably, however when I want to do someting in de xencenter de messages is VDI not available.
This morning, one of the machies had a weekly restart an came not a live with the message VDI not available

I have tried to solve this problem, however I failed until now.

Can anybody help me?

The version of XEN is 6.2

Backup tool is unitrend virtual backup (however this is not the problem, xenserver refuse to create a snapshot)

As I repair the ISCSI SR I got the messages "the storage repository is not available"

The vm's stored at the SR are visible.
A scan of the SR gives the message "The SR has no attached PBD's"

In other internet conversations there was ask for the SMlog, I don't know where to find this.

One of the VM's is realy important to us.

Can somebody help me?

Your version of XenServer is so old about the only thing you can do is restart the host and hope it comes back up

and hope your backups are good. I don't know that I would trust seeing vdi's if you are getting a message that the

SR is unavailable.  Good luck.
