Was there a definitive answer to this issue?

 

My users have Workspace 2203 and some have started seeing this error after receiving an update to 'Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime'  (version 109.0.1518.55)

1 - I don't have an extra slash at the end of the store name. 

2 - There is nothing blocking the runtime exe.

 

Looking for any ideas because it works fine for many and cannot be fixed with a reinstall for others.  

Temp Workaround  = User login to Citrix Cloud

if you are using applocker policies, check the applocker eventlog for the MSEDGEWEBVIEW2 executable being blocked.

 

LogName: Microsoft-Windows-AppLocker/EXE and DLL

source: AppLocker

eventID: 8004

detail: %PROGRAMFILES%\MICROSOFT\EDGEWEBVIEW\APPLICATION\101.0.1210.32\MSEDGEWEBVIEW2.EXE was prevented from running.

allowing this executable to run, fixed the issue in my case, regardless of the CWA version (2112 / 2203.1)
this must be a new feature of the latest CWA builds being integrated with MSEdge

We do not have this blocked by AppLocker.

Just encountered this internally,

It looks like at some point there may have been a code change previously we used the following as our store url :

"https://WorkspaceURL/Citrix/Store/discovery/" the important part being the final "/"

Apparently that is causing a corrupt second store entry in CWA and causing the error above (though it seems there could be multiple causes)

Check your cwa store entry and make sure its not ending in a "/"

We deploy our CWA to hundreds of users preconfigured with the store. Only some users experience this issue.

We saw the same thing.. the stores preconfigured on the installer on the image, however some users experienced the issue some did not. Not exactly sure why but it appeared some were generating a second corrupt store from the url while others possibly had a previous config stored in upm or profile.

Worth checking your store url to see if it has the / at the end.

Hi All

Any solution found to the problem ? we have similar problem where users not able to see any apps and gives blank white page after authentication at CWA 2109.1 and 2212 as well. Uninstalled and Installed different client versions with no luck. There is no problem if users launch apps through Web browsers like edge/chrome. we have raised a case with Citrix and waiting for reply

Problem is NOT SOLVED here, too (Citrix Workpapce App 2203 LTSR CU2).
