Citrix lags when accessing local disk drives

I am using Citrix Workspace version and have an issue where if I try to access a local drive using a Citrix Windows Explorer instance it will take upwards of 60 seconds to access the local drive and list the contents of the folder.  It is EXTREMELY disruptive to my workflow since I am often copying files between my local drive and my employer network drive.  Does anyone else have this issue where Citrix lags for a long time when trying to access a local drive?   Why is this happening?  Can Citrix please review and fix this issue.  Thanks
