workspace linux desktop or application shortcuts Dazzle Self Service configuration

Chris Flick

When using Citrix Workspace for Linux along with self service or dazzle, subscribed or favorite apps create ".desktop files" which creates app shortcuts  in the gnome desktop environment.  I know how to prevent this in windows using the settings built in workspace (Advanced Preferences > Shortcuts and Reconnect > start menu/desktop options).  In windows there are also registry settings to configure this, along with GP templates.  I'm trying to configure this same setting on the Linux desktop (this specific case Gnome) but i assume it would apply for other desktop environments.  I've looked in all the documentation I can, but I haven't found this specific setting. I've looked in GUI, as well as all the relevant config files.

Does anyone know how to control this setting for workspace for Linux.  I'm looking to turn this off.  If you need additional info, let me know.  Thanks again for anyone that can help.
