NetScaler ADM Disk Space alert: System is low on available storage, Events and Analytics data processing is suspended.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are getting ADM disk space alerts frequently which is currently consuming 80% percent of the total storage.

1. Observed that /var is consuming 82GB data out of 110GB in total

2. And /var/mps folder is contributing 76GB

2. When we looked into folder-wise space consumption in /var/mps folder, below are the findings:

/var/mps/db_pgsql - 54GB

/var/mps/_db_pgsql - 5.6GB

/var/mps/ns_images - 4.5GB

/var/mps/log - 3.8GB

/var/mps/back_db_pgsql9 - 4.4GB

Could you please advice which of the above folders are fine to clear up the disk space.

Attached the screenshots for your reference which observed in GUI and CLI respectively.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Carl,

Thank you very much for your response.

We checked the purging settings in the ADM portal but the retention period is set to 14 days as per the Citrix article.

So is it fine to clear up the data on the below 3 folders?

/var/mps/ns_images - 4.5GB

/var/mps/back_db_pgsql9 - 4.4GB

/var/mps/log - 3.8GB

I have attached the screenshot for your reference. Kindly advise on this before adding a new disk to ADM.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Carl,

Thank you very much for your direction.

We deleted the logs but it didn't helped out from disk space alerts.

So we did the disk expansion as below but it didn't worked for us.

1. Took the snapshot of the appliance

2. Logged in with nsroot user

3. Ran /mps/DiskPartitionTool.py command

4. Ran Info command - but it showed as "No secondary disk found"

5. Then we ran create command, after appliance reboot there is no change in the disk space

6. ADC appliance is allocated with 500GB in the vCenter -  kindly find the attached screenshots for your reference

Could you please advice how we can proceed further.

Thank you in advance.
