Windows 11: DPI Scaling Bug Has Returned, Mouse Doesn't Align in Citrix Window

Walter Hall1709163321

The bug described in https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX202319 and https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX230017 appears to have returned with Windows 11.

Citrix Workspace on Windows 11 is no longer DPI Scaling Aware.

Windows 11 laptop with screen set to 1920x1200 at 125% scaling.

Second monitor: 3840x2160 at 175% scaling.

Problem: In this configuration, the mouse moving inside the Citrix window will appear offset to the right.

The mouse will display in one spot, but Citrix will think it is at a position to the left.

Moving the mouse, the Citrix workspace will highlight buttons and links that are well to the left of the displayed mouse position.

As a result, it will seem like mouse clicks do not work. Placing the displayed Windows mouse cursor over a button and clicking will not click the button. That is because the Citrix thinks the mouse is in another spot, a location to the left of the displayed mouse cursor.

As described in the second article link above, set the windows scaling to match on both screens.

This is sub-optimal, but will resolve the problem until Citrix fixes this Windows 11 bug.

Alternatively, disable one of the two displays when running a Citrix-based application.

I am using Citrix Workspace Version 19.12.2000.7
