VDI Single Session windows 10 VM what licensing do I need?

The goal is we are consolidating an office since they are permanently remote. We no longer need to house all the physical desktops. Instead of building one large server for them to remote into we wanted to do a  single session VDI experience using windows 10 VM's. I have been trying to figure out how I need to license these machines and build the catalog. Any guidance is helpful at this point as I've reached out to CDW and other vendors on this but can not seem to get a straight answer on which license we actually need.

Most Per User Windows 10 Enterprise licenses (e.g., E3/E5) include Microsoft Virtual Desktop Access rights. Buy it for the user and that user will be allowed to connect to a Windows 10 or Windows 11 virtual desktop anywhere.

However, if you are deploying thin clients, then you might instead have to buy Microsoft Virtual Desktop Access standalone licenses.
