PVS Stream Service Failover / Rebalance loses connection from VDA to vDisk

Peter Keller

Question

Hey community,

lastly I made the update to CVAD 1912LTSR CU4. During the update process (stoping or rebalancing the stream service) of the PVS' server I always lose the connections of a special vDisk.

We have almost 200 VDAs running and 2 are running with UEFI, exactly these machines can't handle the stop of one PVS server or the rebalance, if they lose his pvs server they can't connect to the other.
Servers get booted via load balanced tftp which works pretty good, any other VDAs can handle the switch from one PVS to other.

Anyone expierienced something like that?

Greetings
Peter

Hey community,

just wanted to let you know the problem is solved.

Almost equivalent to this solution https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX292848 we were using a similar tool form Checkpoint called MUH. Agent https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk164998

and used the V1 which is obviously creating this failure because the solution to us was upgradeing to MUHv2.

Maybe this can help anyone else to.

Greetings

Peter
