Does Citrix Workspace App 2109.1 have issues with Smart Cards?

Has anyone else seen issues adding an address to clean installs of Citrix Workspace App 2109.1 (OCT 2021)? 
We use Smart Cards for logon.

 

If no Workspace client exists the user gets the message: This store doesn't exist. Retry or contact support.

The add account window does not appear to try to access the smart card reader.

 

On the same computer, if you install an older version, 1912 ltsr cu4 for example, add the same address, it works. Then check for updates and go to the current release, 2109.1 works. 

You just can't add the store using a smart card. If you Reset Workspace, you're back in the same boat.
