Duplicate client contact

We have a custom software interacting with the ShareFile API. Our program calls ShareFile to create client contacts and folders and upload files, etc. via our custom interface. All works well 24/7 as we create and update maybe files, folders and contacts each day.


We encountered a single duplicate contact issue that is causing problems. On the ShareFile web interface, we only see one version of the client, but my developers are seeing two:

Contact with same email address, etc created 9/14, unnamed: https://tsgreporting.sharefile.com/users/685a6a7f-c872-4e4b-82dd-e3e103d22fda


ShareFile web only shows the second contact, but our JMS app created the one on 8/10 and expects to use that contact for all transmissions, but cannot, because ShareFile apparently doesn't recognize that contact at all. Therefore updates and emails sent to this client are failing each time.
