AzureAD/O365 Primary Refresh Token on Windows 2016

I am provisioning MS Teams to users on XenApp 1912 LTSR CU2 on Windows 2016. The Windows 2016 machines are provisioned using Citrix PVS and are AzureAD Hybrid joined. Users report that each morning when they launch teams they have to provide a username/password and 2FA to login to teams. On our Windows 10 machines the user only has to do this on MS Teams 1st usage and there after the primary refresh token (PRT) thats issued as part of AzureAD hybrid join means they are generally not prompted again (even after reboot of windows 10).

What's different about Windows 2016/PVS in this regard? Is the PRT not persisted with a roaming profile or the like ?

I've heard from some customers that Windows 2019 does a better job with Hybrid Join than Windows 2016.

Do you mean that this is expected behaviour or observed behaviour on Windows 2016 ?
