Nutanix Hosting Connection Error

Tom Swift

Question

Trying to get a connection from a Citrix controller to a Nutanix host.  The NutanixAHV_Citrix_plugin.msi is installed and under Hosting Connections we see Nutanix AHV as an option.  After entering the relevant information we get an error:

No Citrix Cloud Connect was found, either on the site or for the required zone.  At least one cloud Connector is needed for this site.  Any configured zones containing hypervisors require at least one Connector per zone.  New or recently moved Connectors may need a few minutes to be correctly recognized.

The Nutanix device is on the same VLAN as the Citrix controller.  While on the Citrix controller if we open a browser and enter the IP address for the Nutanix device it redirects to the IP address via SSL on port 9440.  We can also ping the IP address for the Nutanix device successfully.  CVAD version is 1912 CU3.

This link was in a previous post and although the name is older, everything else appears to be the same:

In the past this was pretty easy.  Is there something we're missing?

Did you ever work out why this happened? Just hit it myself trying to create an AHV hosting connection.

[Edit] Actually just found the actual error itself is related to the Nutanix MCS plugin not being correctly installed on all Delivery Controllers in the farm. Once installed everywhere the connections creation works as expected.
