Outlook disconnecting from Exchange exactly after 3.5 hours

Question

Hi,

 

I have Windows Servers 2019 as VDA's. VDA version 1912 CU3.

 

The Office Apps (specially Outlook) get disconnected from Exchange exactly after 3.5 hours. As a test, I deployed a Windows Server 2016 and the issue is not replicating.

 

Has anyone come up with this issue and found a solution?

Yes, I did find a solution. 

What OS are you running? Also, how did you deploy Office?

I know this is old but you mind sharing the solution?  I have the exact same issue as far as timing and disconnects.  We are running Server 2019 and I deployed Office on the VDAs with ODT to remove Onedrive and Skype from the install.  Assuming its probably a registry change.

Hello everyone,

As I came across this Post having the same Issue with latest VDA, Office 2021 on Windows Server 2019 and no answer; here is what seemed to fix it in our Environment:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity "DisableADALatopWAMOverride"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity "DisableAADWAM"=dword:00000001
