Citrix Console Report Making Script Issue

Danish Khan1709162820

Question

Hello,

We are working on creating a power-shell script for finding licensing data on our citrix clients. There seems to be an error when trying to get the required information from the Citrix API and we were wondering if there is a specific URL or API that would be helpful in actually getting the required information for the reporting. Below is the URL that is having the issue in the power-shell code as well as the code attached as a file. If there is an issue with my code or if there is an alternative URL that can be used in order to mitigate this error I am getting then I would be very thankful for being put in the right direction.

Hi @Danish Khan1709161053 - please delete your script file!

Then, edit the original to remove the API client secret, and you can repost it. You should also delete that API client and create a new one as soon as possible, in case anyone has obtained the secret.

Looking at the API specification at https://trust.citrixworkspacesapi.net/, it looks like the correct URL is https://trust.citrixworkspacesapi.net/{customer}/tokens/clients, which for you would be https://trust.citrixworkspacesapi.net/z8qm3sm554bh/tokens/clients.

Please be careful not to post credentials such as passwords and API client secrets in future, as you are allowing anyone that reads the post the ability to access your instance.

Cheers,

Pat

Hey Pat,

Thanks a lot for the heads up, I was able to delete the script right away thanks to your warning. I'll keep that in mind for the future.

I'll try using the new URL you have suggested and hopefully I get some sort of result out of it.

Thanks,

Hey Pat,

so it seems that the Url you suggested didn't seem to work. I was wondering if you had any other ideas as to what could have been causing the issue with the script. I can attach the script without the "Secret" and "Customer" once again if that helps.

Thanks,

Danish

Please do - please also post the exact error you see.
