Extracted attribute size limit

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have configured nFactor for a customer that uses several domains. I put ldap with attribute extraction "distinguishedName" in front and then policy if this attribute contains "DC=domain,DC=com" go to this label if it contains "DC=unicorn,DC=com" go to the other label etc. All that for 5 domains.

The problem appeared when one user couldnt logon because his distinguishedName was too long (many containers with long names, but nothing too hardcore)

So I am getting the message in authentication log: While retrieving ldap attributes distinguishedName value for Unicorn User exceeds 127 bytes and will be truncated.

This results in the user getting "there is no active policy" message and failing to logon. I am a bit disappointed as I dont see any other way to separate one domain from the other. UPN after all may differ within one domain.

Example of issue replicated in my lab env

Questions:

1. Do you know any way of changing this 128 bytes limit or it is hard coded ?

2. How can I submit feedback to Citrix on that in a way that it would get to someone who would care, because this is absurd.?

3. Do you know any other way of separating different domains with ldap atributes that would be reliable?

Thanks in advance
