Contract Initialization Error

Question

We seem to have an issue with WEM when servers reboot. The servers are provisioned and have a script which refresh's the cache at reboot. We have started to get error messages form the WEW event log showing Contract Initialization Error. If rerun the task to clear the cache the error disappears. has anyone got any ideas what might be causing this. We are running WEM version 2012.

Hi Tony,

Where did you place the cache for the agent, was in on the WriteCache disk ? (assuming its a PVS image with write cache)

I have discovered that when editing the PVS image, the WriteCache drive was E:\, but when the target devices booted, they had the WriteCache drive set to D:\ . Simply installing the image to the D:\WEMCache location while in maintenance mode (even if it was showing as E: ) simply fixed it for me.

Might be worth checking this for your situation too, if you havent fixed it already.

We have just discoverred the same issue on one of our customers Citrix environment.
Did you ever find a solution for the Contract Initialization Error?
