Remote PC better than Session with T4 graphics

we have some PCs with geforce graphic card and VDA 1912 as remote pc installed. Our users are using them to work with autocad. For testing and future deployments we bought nvidia T4 graphic cards in our dell r740 servers with 3ghz cpu.

The users got the q4 profile for those virtual machines.

But they reported that the latency and also the graphic quality is much better on the remote pc, as on the virtual machines with T4 gpu and q4 profile.

As graphic profiles we configured only for the virtual machine (not for remote pc) the following

- optimize for 3d workload

- use video codes for compression ( entire screen)

- visual quality -> high

any ideas what could be the issue?

Let me ask some basic questions:

  1. Do you have Nvidia licenses?
  2. Did you installed the VDA after installing the GPU and Nvidia drivers in the image
  3. You could use https://rdanalyzer.com/ to change settings on-the-fly and see what's the best solution for you.
  4. You could also try the latest VDA, because they made some improvements for HDX with GPU's.
