Netscaler SDX backup script

Netscaler is using free BSD as a core, so if you have Unix/Linux knowedge, you will be ok. You can check the link below. Without the "shell" prompt you can use a normal command for backup.

Sorry I didn't see that you are talking about an SDX backup. The Citrix SDX SVM also supports SCP. Maybe than making external script that will use ssh and scp to generate and copy backup, just try creating a prune and backup policy (see page 70 from the guide below) that can be scheduled when to do backup:

The Citrix SDX uses Xen Server that has such options but the Citrix vendor does not want this to be touched at all as it is customized for SDX but this is why there  are the prune and backup policies.
