Can't change license server

Hi.  W2K8R2, Xenapp 6.5.   Old license server is unavailable.  The roles manager allows me to change the license server, takes forever, but I'm still getting a "can't contact license server ...<old license server fqdn>" message upon startup and the event logs are now reporting that we are in a 720 hour grace period.  Licenses are not been occupied on the intended Citrix License Console when I check it.   The server has been restarted.    Admittedly this server has been having issues and it's old and we are trying to get off of it, but in the meantime can anyone suggest a more manual way to force the citrix license server change?

You can set the right server in the registry using GPP and restart the IMA service.
