Upgrade to 8.2 from 7.6 but the root fs is only 4GB

Upgrades will keep the partition size due to vdi's existing in the SR. If you have a pool you can rotate through

the servers and upgrade servers as the VM's are evacuated, but if you are on a single server then you either

need another SR to move them too while the local SR is changed in size, or you need to backup your VM's,

change the local SR size, and restore the VM's.  Its much easier with a pool. If you have some NFS storage

you could leverage that for an easy SR to use.
