Where can the VDAServer be installed?

Ricardo Richard

We just started our process of setting up our Citrix Cloud. We are following the videos from this website https://xenapp.cloud.com/. Step 1 has been completed as we have our 2 Cloud Connectors setup in 2 VMs on our Azure account. Now on Step 2 we tried installing the VDAServerSetup_7_15_7000 in one of our 2 existing VMs but every time we try to install it we get the following error:

We click on Find a solution and it just takes us to a URL that doesn't load.

My question basically is: Where can the VDAServer be installed? Is the issue we're having related to the fact that we're trying to install it in a Cloud Connectors? Do we need to install the VDAServer in a different VM?

Any clarification that you can provide me would be very appreciated

Thank you.

I am not familiar with Azure requirements, but in an on-prem environment you would not run your Cloud Connectors and Multi-Session VDAs on the same servers.

Hi! just as Darryl points out, no other citrix component should be installed on a cloud connector.

But you could install other components on a cloud connector, but keep in mind that citrix might do maintenance on them now and then.
