Can't get GPU encoding working

Philippe Marro1709155269

Question

Hi

I did setup a 2019 VDA with VDA 2012. This server will be a multi user and has a nVidia T4 vGPU added to it. The GPU is detected correctly by the OS and driver, so I assume it's all good there.

But I cannot get it to work. I followed this : https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/graphics/hdx-3d-pro/gpu-acceleration-server.html

Is there anything special that must be configurted during setup or should I use the VDA for desktop OS ?

Tried to reinstall VDA, reboots and so on, nothing works. I attached a few diagnostic infos that might help.

Thank you !

I did configure the policy Use the hardware default graphics adapter for all Remote Desktop Services sessions to enabled. Trying every settings today, I found out that enabling Citrix policy setting Optimize for 3D Graphics Workloads does finally offloads encoding to graphic card ! If I disable it again then encoding goes back to CPU :(

Licenses are good and GPU-Z show the GPU inside the session correctly.

Any idea ?
