I am trying to optimize our Citrix VDI environment, I want to ensure we do not have fragmentation of Citrix network traffic. We have multiple entry points; local LAN, Cisco Anyconnect VPN, MPLS branch offices all with different MTU.  I have set the MTU discovery registry key on the VDA and have a question on how the MTU is negotiated between the endpoint and the VDA.  When connected via VPN and pinging the Netscaler gateway with the do not fragment flag, the maximum packet size is 1378 bytes.   Though  viewing the output of ctxsession -v on the VDA, the EDT MTU was negotiated at 1436.  Should the EDT MTU be negotiated at the maximum MTU between the client and VDA or between the Netscaler SNIP and VDA ? My understanding is that the MTU should have been negotiated at 1378 bytes.
