RDP Proxy - fails to connect/connection rejected

Recommended Posts

All,

I need help please

I have an ADC VPX (v13.0.71.44) currently running cs vserver for remote access to Apps and Desktops and all works fine :)

I am trying to add RDP Proxy for remote software suppliers.

I have successfully presented the remote user with an ICON for the RDP connection, the .rdp file downloads fine.

but when it is run I get the following error..

image.thumb.png.514d254755e248224690888ccbba02ce.png

I can connect to the server using RDP from the LAN no problems

The error is the same for any server I set up to receive RDP connections

In my research we have played with local group policies on the server to no avail.

I did a packet capture on the ADC to try and get an insight of what was happening and the below is a screen shot

image.thumb.png.78825d9abd4d00fd8db7c0ef141ec375.png

(for info 10.20.5.241 is the SNIP and 10.20.5.202 is the server I have set up for RDP)

looking at the packet capture (and I am by no means an expert) but it seems to me that there is an initial negotiation on the connect but then for a reason I cannot fathom there is a reset

Is there anyone out there that can help me please?

suggest what I might look at further.

any help is appreciated

thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

what OS are the systems running on (rdp client and target)?

Are there any eventlog entries generated during the failed rdp connection?

I remeber a Workaround for Windows 10 Build 2004

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client

SendCorrelationId = 0

type dword

Martin,

thanks for the response.

These are Windows 2016 servers

and no there is nothing obvious in the eventlogs

will have a look at the link you have shared to see if anything is relevant

thanks again

Update ... Problem solved  ..   my mistake, I bound the rdp_traffic_policy to the wrong vserver

case of looking at something for so long you don't see what's there, roped in a colleague to review and they spotted that :)

if I had a brain I'd be dangerous :D

thanks

Simon
