Can't install XenServer 7.1 on Dell ECM PowerEdge R740 with PERC H740P

Tuguldur Tamir

Question

Hello Dear,

I am trying to install XenServer 7.1 (XenServer-7.1.0-install-cd.iso) in Dell PowerEdge R740 with PERC H740P Raid controller server.

I proceeded with the installation though LifeCycle Controller Deploy OS. Error message is:  "No disk with sufficient space to install XenServer on was found".

How to install it.

Hi Alan.

Thank you for your reply.  Yes, we need to install Xen7.1 because of migrate vms between same XenServer version 7.1 servers without any license fee.

You mentioned that server has 4k sector disks. What is mean?  Is it possible to install XenServer 7.1 version after I change secktor size?

Thank you Erno,

I followed this guide https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX226401 But when installing driver-avago-megaraid-sas-07.701.18.00+rc1 driver error message showed that "Setup was unable to load the device driver"

The installation iso name is: XenServer-7.1.1-install-cd.iso   Is it XenServere 7.1 CU1?

Some guide try to use XenServer 7.1 CU2.  Where to download it except official Citrix site?
